Tuesday afternoon at Doyle Field in Brewer, the Brewer Witches and Hampden Academy Broncos deadlocked at 1-1 after two overtimes in boys soccer action.

Luke Thomas booted a Joe Cox throw in into the net with 13:49 remaining in the first half to give the Witches a 1-0 lead. That lead was short lived as Hampden tied the game at 1-1 with 10:55 left on the clock. Ricardo DeLima got credit for the goal after his low pass was redirected by a Brewer player and went past goal keeper Brian Kearns who had come out to play the ball and was unable to recover in time.

Both teams had ample scoring opportunities but could not get the job done. Hampden keeper Brad Melanson prevented a Bronco loss on a diving stop with just seconds left in the second overtime, and Brewer's Kearn's came up big twice in the second half including one save during a flurry in front of the right corner of the net.

Kearns finished with eight saves on 19 Hampden shots for the 4-4-2 Witches. Harrison Haiden and Melanson combined for eight saves on 27 Brewer shots for the 5-3-2 Broncos.
