At the Dorothea Dix soccer field in Bangor on Wednesday, Jason McBernie's second half goal turned out to be the game winner as the Crusaders of John Bapst edged the Golden Bucks of Bucksport 2-1 in boy's varsity soccer action.

Bapst took a quick 1-0 lead when Miles Gagnon scored an unassisted goal one minute and 46 seconds into the opening half. The final 38 plus minutes of the first half went scoreless despite numerous scoring opportunities by both teams.
