Alyssa Williamson hurls near perfect no-hitter, K's 15 in 3-0 Scarborough win over Hermon
Alyssa Williamson of Scarborough throws her final strikeout pitch of the game in the sixth inning on Friday in Glenburn. Williamson pitched a complete game no hitter striking out 15 as Scarborough defeated Hermon 3-0 in an 11 and 12 year old State Tournament game. (Photo by Skip Hawkes)Scarborough pitching has now thrown 12 innings and allowed just two hits, one run, one walk, and struck out 29 opponents. Offensively they have 16 hits in 12 innings, and the defense has not committed an error.
Williamson got all the run support she needed with the first two batters of the game. Paige Moore Haskell led off the game with a single, and Marisa O'Toole followed with a triple. O'Toole later scored on a passed ball to give Scarborough a 2-0 lead.

Williamson struck out the first nine Hermon batters she faced, and put her final stamp on the game by striking out the side in the sixth inning as well. Williamson's only flaw in the game was issuing a lead off walk to Shannon Graves in the fifth inning. The Hermon batters were overpowered by Williamson, and they put the ball in play only three times in the game.
Hitting for Scarborough was O'Toole (triple, single, RBI), Farnkoff (single, RBI), Haskell (single), and Carpenter (single).
Scarborough (2-0) will play Kennebunkport (2-0) on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. with the winner heading to the championship game on Tuesday, July 22.
Hermon will face Camden-Rockport at 11:00 a.m. Saturday.
